Well, I don't really "love" it. But it was the lowest price I found on the Stack Assembly for our Clack WS-1 Water Softener. And it arrived fast too. (A few days in the US Mail.)In case you care, I happened to be nosing around our water softener at 2 in the morning while it was recharging. Which is something you should probably do every now and then for maintenance purposes.I heard a loud clacking noise (no pun intended) coming from our Clack and thought something was wrong. Interestingly, we never got 100% soft water out of our softener. (According to a titration soft water test kit.)This was a DIY unit that we bought on-line. (Can't do that anymore.) So I had the Service Manual. (Which you can also find on-line.) There are also a couple youtubes about how to change out the stack assembly.Removing the stack was easy - after a trick. The trick is to turn off the water to the softener first, and then open a faucet in the house to relieve the water pressure. Then turn the other bypass valve to bypass - quickly. That way the backing plate turns easily. After removing the OEM stack, I saw that one of the inside washers had a cut in it and part of the washer had sheared off. Could explain why we never got 100% soft water. (Really, there's no way to know the condition of your stack unless you remove it periodically and visually check it. I wonder how long we've been living with a broken stack?)The new part was an exact replacement and went it without any trouble. (I didn't bother replacing the brine piston or valve. They looked fine. (No sharp edges that would cut the inside washers of the stack.) I did two recharges in series and tested our water again.Zero hardness.Interestingly, I had a hard time finding this part on Amazon. I was about to order a new stack from one of those Internet water softener service places. At the last moment, I decided to do a web search for the part number of the stack (to check for lowest price) and was surprised to see a hit for this part here on Amazon. But it didn't show up on a search from within Amazon.
