We buy my African grey a $90 subscription box of toys every month, and since he got obsessed with these he’s started to ignore his other toys and has a backlog now. Seriously considering switching to a smaller monthly box. Grateful to find these in such a large quantity at a reasonable price. If your African grey is anxious, plucking, misbehaving, or seems to want something and you can’t figure out what, know that a lot of them are OCD about grooming their beak. After every meal, and sometimes in the middle, I give mine a colored nontoxic popsicle stick, and one of these bagel toys. Just like people sand things down or file their nails starting with the coarsest material and working up to finer materials to finish smoothing them out, birds do the same thing! Watch them, it’s very cool to understand. Mine gets so anxious and unruly when he feels his beak is ragged. He’s truly meticulous about it and it keeps him occupied.Other materials African Greys enjoy for grooming their beaks are slightly thicker wood than popsicle sticks (lots of toys out there with that), and cardstock/postcard paper.
